From Travelling to Turtles

Hey you guys! So as I said... yesterday evening completely and totally made up for my recent adventure pon adventure. Yesterday after doin some registration up & downs in UWI we decided 2 make a lovely spur of the moment decision to go to the beach. soo we started walking. pick up ppl along the way...on hall...in the neighbouring areas...bum some beach clothes from a friend(made a mental note to keep a swimsuit in my locker ^_^ )

Abt 10 mins in our actual way 2 the beach after all our pitstops, we started hearing an extremely strange noise. it was the sound of something between evil cackling and pigs grunting. After the intial period of being very disturbed we decided 2 go check it out. To our amazement and...slight discomfort, we discovered a colony of turtles in somebdy's backyard...mating. Not all of them though, just two...but apparently they were the ones making all the noise! O.O
while we der macoing de turtles and taking pictures of the ppl backyard, this car passes us, slows down a bit by us and starts to laugh. My friend got a little cross and started to quarrel. about how ppl so fass etc etc. However we, the original instigators of fassness, were the ones to fly way from the fence when we realized tht the same car tht was laughing at us was now turning into the mating turtle house's gate. so we ran away.

After being lost a bit more and eventually finding our way again, we get to the beach (after about an hr or so of walking). while some of us started to swim one time, one of my friends decided to be hyper and sprint back and forth across the beach. when he came running back towards us, we realized he was waving his hands in a frenzy and yelling. BABY TURTLES! (lol i feel like i writing a standard 5 essay :D) . so we alllll ran back. just in time to see the last of the newborns flip and flop their way to the ocean.

orrrrr so we thought! after they all left we began looking 4 where the nest was originally created. As we began digging around, a new swarm of baby turtles literally started pouring out! there was so much sand on top of them that many were feebly battling out with what seemed to be their last vestiges of life. (dunno if thaz the right word but it sounds preeeetty good ^_^). and so...we helped carry the weaker ones to the shore. We named them and we airkissed them and we let them loose on the world. 1/2 of them probably dead by now. But you know...such is life. and we helped! :D

Pictures shall come soon. =)

Not me n travellin again nah!!

As the post says, I'll say it again; "Not me n travellin again nah. I stayin in this house til christmas -_- "

So here goes....I took an unwanted hour long tour of Bdos after waiting half n hour in both burnin sun and pouring rain. Met some people who although not friendly enough to tell the driver tht I was in fact yelling stop, were physically extremely close. My back & their underarm used 2 pitch marble, apparently.

The Vagrant Intervention

Sigh.. So sitting waiting 4 the bus. (Another sign I think saying tht public transport jus aint 4 me). I see an elderly man approaching the bench upon which I was seated. I subconsciously averaged the man 2 perhaps be a bit down on his luck... but nothing more. He bends over nxt 2 me 2 pick up a ciggarette butt on the ground. And just as the wheels start turnin n the vagrant alert starts sounding in my head, he flashes his head over, kisses my poor exposed knee, jumps bk and grins a toothless grin. I jump a mile up & a mile bk, pushin ppl off the bench. I am only able 2 muster d dreadest cut eye available 2 me while having an internal hygiene motivated break down. Thank goodness 4 hand sanitizer.
